What We Do
What's on next
Sunday services
We have a pattern of various service types. We hope that there is something here for everyone. It includes:
- A Benefice-wide joint Holy Communion combining the best of all of our service types with hymns and new songs (once a month)
- Common Worship Holy Communion (five times a month)
- A contemporary-style service with new songs and a more flexible structure (three times a month)
- 1662 Book of Common Prayer Evening Prayer (twice a month)
- An quiet evening communion in a reflective style (once a month)
- Biblical preaching
Within the parish
Treasure Seekers
Treasure Seekers (formerly known as Sunday School/Gang) takes place during the 10.30am morning service. In both churches, the teaching rooms are within the church building, and children start with their parents and leave during the service for their lesson.
Buggy Club
Buggy Club meets every Wednesday at Bradfield Church and every Thursday at Mistley Church. From 1:30 to 2:30, babies and pre-school children, with their parents, grandparents or carers, meet together to sing songs, listen to a Bible story, make something to take home, and play together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Messy Church
Messy Church explores the Bible through creativity, celebration, eating together and an all-age context, involving the whole family. It is an attempt to be church for families who might want an experience of church, but for whom Sunday services are not quite right.
Messy Church will be held on Monday 20th February, 4.30-6.30 at Bradfield Church. There will be crafts, games and activities, a celebration time of songs and story, and then a meal for everyone.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Parents arriving home from work who might not be in time for the whole thing are welcome to come and join in late. We are asking for a donation of £1 per child. Accompanying adults can come free.
Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you there! Contact us for more information, and check out the official Messy Church website.
